Employee Experience Journey Mapping

We see it all around us, the way we work is changing. The rise of the GIG economy, the shifting demographics in our country, and the always evolving technology are all shifting the expectations of our employees. Today’s HR professionals are being called on to sit at the leadership table with knowledge of people and behavioral economics. We are asked to apply that knowledge to the organization and craft a world class employee experience that is both meaningful and enjoyable.

This makes us ask:

  • How can HR take the lead in crafting and shaping the employee experience?

  • How can HR design meaningful, best in class experiences that engage employees at all stages, from candidates through alumni?

  • Equally important, how can HR help build and reinforce design capabilities throughout the organization?

The answer? We use design thinking.

Design thinking works! Deloitte’s 2016 Human Capital Trends survey found that, respondents at companies where HR delivers the highest levels of value are almost five times more likely to be using design thinking to design programs than their peers.

At Coreisma, we offer workshops to help your team take a deeper dive into Employee Experience Journey Mapping. Employee Experience Journey Mapping (EXJM) is a visual thinking tool we use to analyze and improve the employee experience. The idea behind EXJM is simple: you look at the journey employees take throughout their time at your organization and break it down into stages. Then you look at each stage from different angles to get the complete picture of what the experience of the employee may look like and how employees feel along the way. From there you can celebrate the high points and work to change the low points.

In Our Workshop You’ll Learn:

  • How to use the Employee Experience Journey Mapping (EXJM) tool in your role as an HR professional to enhance the employee experience.

  • What personas are in design thinking—and how to build them using data you already have.

  • How to leverage storytelling and visualization to convey information in a way that is memorable, crisp and creates a shared vision.

What to expect:

We will spend time reviewing a real case study and then diving into one of your own projects. This will be a more intimate opportunity to practice using design thinking in your day-to-day world by collaborating and sharing with each other.
